Residential Landscaping with Acadia

The Landscaping Process

Scott Ferguson - Thursday, September 11, 2008
It will be reassuring to home owners to know that when they enter into a contract with Acadia Landscape Constructions the experience is almost inevitably going to be very pleasant! This is because the Acadia processes are very clear and their attention to detail is excellent.

So what actually is the process from initial contact through to the post landscaping phase?

Quoting phase
When you first approach the Acadia Landscape Constructions office preliminary details are taken in terms of location, general requirements and contact details.
  • Typically this initial contact is followed by an 'on site meeting' between you and either the Operations Manager or the Landscape Manager. At this meeting the job is properly scoped.
  • The discussion will be interactive. You will have ample opportunity to clearly set out your desired outcomes and the Acadia Landscape Constructions representative will make suggestions and contribute ideas based on his/her  training and years of experience in the industry.
The Operations Manager will then prepare a proposal which will usually include a schematic (diagram) of the proposed development; fixed price details, lists of inclusions, agreed start date etc.

Once the contract is signed off by both parties, Acadia Landscape Constructions makes the necessary preparations so that they are ready to go on the agreed start date. If you decide on additional elements during the landscaping process these can usually be added in as billable variations to contract.

Landscaping Phase
During the landscaping phase Acadia Landscape Constructions will work in with other parties working on the site and adheres to Work Place Health & Safety requirements. All contractors are licensed and all staff are blue card holders. They will follow the agreed plans and specifications and the project will be delivered on time.

Post Completion Maintenance Plans
Complex projects may include a Post Completion Maintenance Plan which is usually divided into a 12 week establishment period followed by a 52 week maintenance program.
