With every project Acadia Landscape Constructions considers:
- Client goals - What specifically is the outcome required by the client? Closely allied to this is the project budget. What can be delivered at the highest possible level for the client's investment?
- Environmental issues - Slope, soil type, drainage, native species, climatic factors etc
- Aesthetic appeal - Will the end product be visually attractive all year? Form, texture & colour of introduced plants, structures & ornaments etc
- Practical considerations: Choice of materials (will they last without visual & structural degradation); planning & local authority approvals
- Location of utilities (sewarage lines, electricity, phone cables etc)
- Species selection - Needs to be practical in terms of:
- size of plants
- water requirements
- impact on existing man-made and natural features (Eg avoidance of invasive species, large trees in small gardens etc, consideration of likely impact of leaf litter, staining etc)
